Most Controversial
I try not to post anything too controversial but since my blog is still fairly new I am sure I will come across something sooner or later.

Surprise Success

I can't believe how successful and fun my WIAW posts has been each week. Every week I look forward to posting my Wednesday morning WIAW posts!

Not Enough Attention

I thought that my Pilates Posts would have grabbed some more attention than it did, but I guess we all have posts that don't get the attention we were hoping for.

Most Helpful

Quesadilla Casserole was probably my most helpful post because it let everyone know about McCormicks Recipe Inspirations, which is such an easy and delish way to make a quick go to meal.

Most Proud

Happy Birthday BOMF Boston! This post was by far my favorite and proudest post. It showed that getting up every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 4:45 to run with my BOMF team makes it worth it!

Now I shall pass this fun along to the following bloggers:

WIAW Asian Inspired

Welcome to another week of WIAW inspired by Jenn at Peas and Crayons.

Peas and Crayons

Joe and I had decided to go to Typhoon Asian Bistro in Hingham because we had Groupon for their and we wanted a place where we could celebrate our five year anniversary which was on Wednesday. Boy does the time fly I can't believe it has been five years already and that our wedding is  about a year away :).

We started off with an order of the chicken lettuce wraps and a few drinks. I went with the cucumber mojito which was so delicious and refreshing.

For dinner we decided to choose a few things and share do we went with the thai curry chicken, steamed shrimp vermicelli and typhoon spicy chicken which we got grilled instead of fried.

The food was all very tasty but the curry dish was definitely my favorite which worked out well because Joe loved the spicy chicken.

I couldn't stop eating :)

Jim Kane 5 Miler & The Great Fundraising Act

Today begins the The Great Fundraising Act thought up by Janetha at Meals and Moves. Janetha is having a live online auction for her friend Susan, who has been diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and has hefty medical bills to the tune of $5000 monthly.

Please considered hopping on over to Janetha's blog and bidding on some of the AWESOME items up for grabs and supporting a fellow blogger as she fights lymphoma.  Susan has displayed incredible strength and poise throughout her journey, and I think the beauty of the blog world is how supportive we are of each other.

Thursday night Back on my Feet had signed up to run the Jim Kane Sugar Bowl 5 Miler in South Boston. It was about 97 degrees out. I was a little concerned with some of my residents as they are not all in the best shape and this would be the longest run they have ever done.

BOMF Boston
But to my surprise they all did excellent and finished strong despite the heat.

Even despite the heat I set a PR for this race, which I was happy about since I really was trying to take it slow because of the heat.

Fitness Friday- StairMaster

Welcome to another week of Fitness Friday inspired by Jill at Life as I See It [Fitness, Health and Happiness]. Hop on over to Jill's blog to join in on the blog hop.

Life As I See It [Fitness, Health and Happiness]
Lately I have been hating cardio at the gym. I am running a lot more since my training has started for my fall marathon, so when I'm at the gym the thought of more cardio isn't too appealing. Just recently though my gym purchased two StairMaster machines. Although this is cardio I feel like I get such a great leg workout as well that I just love it! Plus I get super sweaty so I feel like I'm getting a great workout.

I typically do 20 minutes which consists of intervals of 90 and 75 steps/min alternating between skipping steps, side steps and regular steps. 20 minutes is more than enough for me on this machine, I'm usually pretty sweaty and tired after.

Question: have you ever tried the StairMaster, if so what is your favorite workout on it?

WIAW Mexican Edition

Welcome to another week of WIAW inspired by Jenn at Peas and Crayons. This week I decided to focus on one delicious meal I had out to eat this week.
Peas and Crayons
My mom's birthday is tomorrow so we decided to celebrate on Sunday night at a new Mexican restaurant on the waterfront, Temazcal Tequila Cantina. We sat down at a table overlooking the boardwalk and water which was beautiful. We looked over the menu (which was on an iPad) while we ordered some drinks.
Joe and Abigail
The meal started with some festive drinks and chips and dips. They gave you three different dips, one spicy, one sweet and one bean dip, which were all very delicious.

Delicious Sangria

After we snacked on those for a little we ordered the Guacamole Langosta, which was a delicious guacamole dip with chunks of lobster mixed in, can you say delicious!
Lobster Guacamole, does it get any better?
After we digested the chips, dip and guacamole we moved on the main course. I ordered the beer battered fish tacos, which were absolutely delicious. I usually don't like to order fried items but I just love trying fish tacos everywhere I go. My sister went with the Mahi Mahi, my mom ordered the grilled chicken with avocados, tomatoes, onion and salsa, and all three of the guys ordered the enchiladas verde.

For dessert we headed back to my house for ice cream cake which I made. It is the best dessert and super easy. You take an oreo pie crust then fill it with softened ice cream (moose tracks is the flavor my mo wanted) then top it with cool whip and any topping you wish. Since I did moose tracks ice cream I kept with the peanut butter flavor and topped the pie with peanut butter chip morsels.

Country Music Festival

Saturday my mom, sister and I all headed to the 102.5 Country Music Festival featuring Jerrod Neiman, Blake Shelton and Brad Paisley.

It was a hot day but we managed to keep as cool as possible tailgating before we headed inside for the concert. For lunch/dinner we grilled spinach and feta chicken burgers from Whole Foods which were delicious.

I'm not a huge Jerrod Neiman fan but I love Blake Shelton and Brad Paisley. All three of them put on a phenomenal show.

Sorry this one is a little blurry the lighting wasn't the best for pictures
Question: Do you like country music, if so who is your favorite artist/band? Mine is Zac Brown Band, who I will be seeing at the end of the summer.

TGIT

Today is like my Friday because tomorrow I have my annual summer work outing on an island off of the cape. I started my morning off at the gym with 15 minutes on the stair master doing intervals of 75 and 90 steps per minute followed by a 30 minute kettlebell training session.

I thought I would share two meals I had yesterday because they were both so good. For lunch I got a mango salad from Qdoba but instead of adding their chicken I added my own leftover ground turkey I had from Monday night tacos.

I had a massage last night so I decided to just pick something up on my way home for dinner. I stopped at The Healthy Kitchen and got an order of chicken lettuce wraps. They were so delicious and filling I couldn't finish them all. I want to try to make my own version of these sometime.

Question: Do you have a lettuce wrap recipe you love?

WIAW-Spinach Edition

I can't believe it's already Wednesday and time for another WIAW inspired by Jenn at Peas and Crayons.
Peas and Crayons

Yesterday for breakfast I enjoyed a green monster with berries, soy milk, chia seeds, flax seed and protein powder. It has been very hot here in Boston the past few days so smoothies have been my friend.

Lunch was a sandwich with spinach, rotisserie chicken and strawberries on two pieces of Arnold's ten grain bread toasted. I am on a spinach kick lately I want it on everything. This was a little messy to eat but it was so worth it.

On my trip to Whole Foods on Sunday I picked up some more vegan veggie raviolis because they were so good last time. Even though it was 95 degrees yesterday I had to turn on the stove and cook these because they are just too good. If you have a Whole Foods near you then you need to try these.

For dessert I had mix of espresso and vanilla bean frozen yogurt with a few mini peanut butter cups but I ate it before I could snap a picture, sorry. I've had a small cold and sore throat  for the last week so anything cold like fro yo makes it feel better.

Question: What is your favorite fro yo combination?

Grilling and Gaming

Joe and I had a busy weekend and were not really together at all so on Sunday we decided to do some food shopping for the week and spend the afternoon together. We made a trip to whole foods earlier that day where we bought some delicious veggies to grill up with some shrimp. Joe grilled the veggies (peppers and asparagus) with just a little salt and pepper then once they came off the grilled I tossed them in a little olive oil and balsamic vinegar.

I marinated the shrimp with some honey bbq sauce and hot sauce. Once the shrimp was cooked I tossed them in Mrs. Dash's Southwestern Chipotle seasoning. The flavors were so delicious together since it had a nice spice with just the right amount of sweetness.

After dinner Joe and I decided to play one of our favorite board games, Phase 10 Twist. If you have played Phase 10 before you have to get this game it is so much fun.

Question: What is your favorite board game?
