Spring has Sprung

Well Spring has finally arrived in Boston. It was 65 this morning when I left for the gym at 5:30. I arrived at the gym and did a quick 15 minutes on the elliptical before meeting with my trainer for our weekly duet session. The air conditioner unit in the cardio room broke so it was so hot and humid in there. I am so glad I only had to do 15 minutes this morning.

This morning our session focused on upper body and abs since mine and my partners legs were both very sore. I had a great workout despite my legs feeling a little weak.

I then headed back home to shower and get ready for work.  For breakfast I had a protein smoothie with berries, soy, protein powder and ice. Sorry I forgot to snap a picture.

Now I am off to work on the redline, what fun!

Question: If your body is sore do you take the day off or power through a workout?

  1. bahahaha! Daniella I would never blog about twinkies! Ok once I almost did but it was going to be making fun of the twinkie diet =) Have you heard of that? redunkulous!

As far as soreness -- it depends to what degree. Sometimes I think I NEED to power through another workout but other times i'm so wiped I don't want to hurt myself by pressing on the next day. So 50/50 maybe? good question!
