This morning I headed to castle island to meet my sister and cousin for a run while my mom and a few friends walked Abigail. It was such a beautiful day for a run, I even got a little color on my face. We ran three miles at a pace of a little over 9 minute miles. My sister is just getting back into running after the baby so I we took it easy today.

After our run my mom, sister, Abigail and I stopped at Borders because they are going out of business. I didn't buy anything but it was fun to look around. On my way to Kristina's house I stopped at Marylous for an iced coffee. The flavor of the month for May is toasted coconut and I love coconut so I got a medium iced coffee with soy, which was delicious. Then I headed to Kristina's to spend some time with my family.

When I left the house I forgot to take something out for dinner so I threw together a quick pizza with peppers, onions and turkey pepperoni on a whole wheat crust from Whole Foods.

This morning was a little crisp but it was still beautiful out for my morning workout with my BOMF family. Breakfast was a protein smoothie with a banana, berries, soy milk, wheat germ and ground flax seed. Have a great Monday everyone, how can you not we caught Bin Laden!

Question: If you forget to take something out for dinner do you throw something together or call for take out?
I throw something together mostly because I am on a tigh budget, but also because I feel better eating my own food.
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable little one! So cute!
ReplyDeleteI love making homemade pizza! We usually have it at least once a week using trader joe's 99 cent raw whole wheat pizza dough.
If we get home and I'm just ready to eat then I typically throw together a salad or skillet roasted veggies with some whole wheat pita and hummus :)
Hope you have a great start to your week! :)
How cute is that little girl, and ice coffee toasted coconut with soy omoggg I want some.
ReplyDeleteI usually throw something together. I try to use what I have on hand whenever possible. I think this is due to the fact that on the wkends I eat out more than I should!

ReplyDeleteI will have to look for that dough next time I am at Trader Joes
Thanks for stopping by my blog!
ReplyDeleteI call for take-out because I am incredibly incompetent in the kitchen and frankly, I love restaurant food. Love with the passion of a thousand firey suns. This may explain why I struggle with my weight and my diet needs improvement.
I think Abigail may have the cutest little cheeks I've ever seen.
